About
Hi — I'm Henry Ashar
I have spent twenty years putting enterprise technology into businesses — ERP and CRM platforms at Bandai Namco, manufacturing systems for spacecraft at Virgin Galactic, supply chain projects at Deloitte. Now I build AI products, and I help small businesses get the same leverage the big ones have had for decades.

Track record
Twenty years of making technology actually land
Buying software is easy. Getting an organisation to use it is the hard part, and that is what I have been paid to do since 2002 — first inside large enterprises, now for businesses that never had that kind of help available to them.

Speaking
I am speaking at AVANCE Global 2026 (September 14–16, 2026) at the Bellagio Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, on “AI Without the Hallucinations: What Small Business Leaders Need to Know About Automation, Accuracy, and Data Safety” — Bellagio Ballroom 7, 4:30 – 5:15 PM. Programmed by negozee for CPAs, tax professionals and small-business advisors, at a conference expecting more than 7,000 business leaders.
Why this advisory exists
For two decades I watched large companies get an unfair advantage from technology — not because their tools were magic, but because they had people whose whole job was making the tools work. A small business gets the same software and none of the help.
That gap used to be unbridgeable. It is not any more. The tools that matter now are cheap, off-the-shelf, and mostly held back by nobody having the time to set them up properly. That is a solvable problem, and it is a far better use of what I know than another enterprise rollout.
NILA, and why it matters here
I am also the founder of NILA, an AI intake platform for CPA firms — live, in production, with paying clients through real tax seasons.
I mention it for one reason: it is proof this is not theory. Building NILA meant handling documents people depend on, dealing with AI that is confidently wrong, and learning what happens when a workflow meets people who are busy and do not care how clever the technology is. Before that, TalentSwipe — an AI recruiting platform I founded and led through to acquisition. I ship software. That is a different thing from teaching a class about software, and it is why I can hand you a website in your own repository rather than a slide about websites.
How I work
Plain language, always. If I cannot explain a recommendation without jargon, it is a bad recommendation. Nobody should have to nod along to something they did not follow.
Your accounts, your tools, your money. Every subscription is bought by you, in your name, directly from the vendor. I take no commissions and resell nothing, so there is nothing pushing me to recommend one tool over another.
You own the output. Your website lives in your GitHub repository. Your prompts and instruction pack are yours. If we stop working together, nothing switches off.
Honest about the limits. These tools are confidently wrong sometimes, and some processes should not be automated at all. You will hear that from me before you spend money, not after.
Where I work
I am based in Irvine, California, and work with small businesses everywhere. Most of it happens over video call and screen share. In-person sessions and workshops run across Orange County — senior centers, libraries, chambers of commerce and community colleges included.
If any of this sounds like what you need, book a free 30-minute call or email henry@asharadvisory.com. I will tell you honestly if I am not the right help.
