Workshops
Hands-on AI workshops, in plain language
Every session is hands-on. You bring a laptop and the accounts you already use, and you set things up on your own machine while we work through it together — so you leave with something running rather than notes about something that might work one day. In person across Orange County, and online for everyone else.
Upcoming sessions
The first Orange County series
Biweekly on Thursdays. The first session is free because the point of it is to meet people, not to make money — later sessions go up as they get more hands-on. Seats are limited so everyone gets help with their own screen.

Build a Small Internal Tool in an Afternoon
The job that used to mean a developer, two weeks and four figures: a quote calculator, a booking tracker, a script that reformats the export your accountant cannot use.

It comes off the setupEvery paid workshop fee comes off the price of a setup if you go on to book one. A $99 ticket is $99 off the $2,500. A workshop is a deposit, not a detour — and if you learn what you need and never hire us, that is a fine outcome too.
Tickets go live on Eventbrite once each venue is confirmed. Join the newsletter and you will hear the moment they do — or book a free call if you would rather talk first.
The catalogue
Four sessions, from never-touched-it to building your own tools
Every public workshop teaches a general skill on material we all share, so everyone in the room finishes. Work that has to be built around your own business — your inbox, your CRM, your voice — is not sold in a room, and there is a list of exactly what that covers below. Any session can also be run privately for a team or an organisation.

Enquire about a private sessionWhat we deliberately do not teach in a workshop
Some things cannot be done generically. They are built around one business’s actual workflows, systems and voice, and a room full of people each need a different answer. Those are setup work, and we would rather say so plainly than sell you a session that cannot deliver them.
- Your inbox, triaged and drafting in your voice
- Needs your real mail rules, your customer types and your actual reply patterns. Generic triage rules help nobody.
- Quotes and proposals generated from your own pricing
- Built from your services, your rates and your terms. There is no version of this that works off a template.
- Your CRM connected so records stop being retyped
- Depends entirely on which systems you run and how they are already configured.
- Your Business Instruction Pack
- The file that makes AI output sound like you. Written from interviews about how your business actually talks.
- Your real website, on your domain, connected to everything else
- The workshop teaches the mechanic on a template. Moving your actual site, content and domain across — and wiring it to the rest — is setup work.
A note on what the tools cost
Software subscriptions are paid by you, directly to the vendor. We set up and configure tools inside accounts you own — we do not resell software, mark it up, or take vendor commissions. Expect a realistic running cost of roughly $20–$100 a month for a small business, depending on which tools you choose. We will tell you what each one costs before you sign up for anything.
Questions about workshops
- Do I need to bring anything to a workshop?
- A laptop and the accounts you already use for work. Sessions are hands-on — you set things up on your own machine during the workshop rather than watching a demonstration — so you leave with something working rather than notes about something that might work.
- Do I need to pay for AI subscriptions to attend?
- Most sessions run on free tiers. A couple of the more advanced workshops work better with a paid plan, typically around $20 a month, and that is stated on the session listing before you book. Any subscription is paid by you directly to the vendor — we do not resell software or take commissions.
- Where are workshops held?
- In person across Orange County — libraries, coworking spaces, chambers of commerce, senior centers and community colleges — and online for anyone outside the area. Sessions are listed on Eventbrite as they are scheduled.
- Can you run a workshop for my team or organisation?
- Yes. Sessions can be delivered on-site for a single team, a chamber of commerce, a community college programme, a senior center or a library, and adapted to your industry and schedule. Your programme keeps the handouts and exercises to re-run later.
